DESCRIPTION:Overview \nThe North of England Under 16’s Open Championship is a 72 hole scratch Strokeplay competition played over three days. After 36 holes played over days 1 and 2\, a cut is made and a further 36 holes are played on day 3. \nEntries \nThis Open Championship is open to Amateur Golfers of all Nationalities and any sex who are under age 16 on 1st January 2026. To be eligible to enter\, a player must be in possession of a WHS Handicap Index not exceeding 7.4 and this must also be applicable on 26th August 2026. \nOther information \nThere is also an Under 14 category in the Championship where the age is again calculated as at 1st January 2026. The closing date for entries will be at 5pm UK time on Friday 24th July 2026. \n  \n
