New Captain for Senior Ladies

Cheshire Golf Senior Ladies have a superb record in recent years and the new Captain Jane Burke is delighted to have the opportunity of maintaining their proud status.

Jane studied recreation Management and Sports Science at Loughborough University and she played sport all of her life, taking up golf when she was 25.

Her father played at Troon, so she had some knowledge of the game, but didn’t get the bug until starting at Oadby GC in Leicestershire.

Moving up North with work she joined Manchester Hopwood, then High Legh and finally Sandiway GC where she has settled for the past 15 years.

Jane has been a Board Director of Sandiway since 2018 and has played for Cheshire Seniors for over 10 years, and she was delighted to be a reserve for the Northern Jamboree team in 2024.

Jane is greatly honoured and excited to be taking over as Captain of Cheshire’s tremendous Seniors Ladies team and very proud to be leading them in their defence once again of the Northern team championships, The Richardson Trophy
