Quartet get in the Spirit

The 54-hole championship takes places at Whispering Pines Golf Club, Texas, from 12-14 October, when the players compete for a range of team and individual titles. 

Players:

Hayley Davis, 22, (Ferndown, Dorset) is ranked 12th in the world and is a past winner of the English women’s amateur and stroke play titles. She is a three-time winner on the US college circuit and is a GB&I and England international. 

Bronte Law, 20, (Bramhall, Cheshire) is the world’s fifth ranked woman amateur and has played in two Curtis Cup teams. She successfully defended her English women’s amateur title this summer, winning by 16 shots, and tied fourth in the European amateur.

Scott Gregory, 20 (Corhampton, Hampshire) tied fourth in the European men’s amateur championship and was runner-up in the Lagonda Trophy. He was a quarter-finalist in the English amateur, having reached the final last year (image © Leaderboard Photography).

Jonathan Thomson, 19, (Lindrick, Yorkshire) also tied fourth in the European amateur championship. This season he was also sixth in the Brabazon Trophy and shared third place in the Duncan Putter.
