    All members and staff of Cheshire clubs are invited to take part in our photo competition.

Cheshire Golf photographic competition 2026

We have been hugely impressed by the quality of photographs taken by club members and greens staff and published on social media and websites in recent years.

Keen to encourage further photographic creativity, we thought we’d run a photo competition for all affiliated Cheshire clubs over the spring and summer of 2026. You can submit photos relating to any aspect of your club: course, players, flora & fauna, clubhouse etc. There will be a first prize of a £125 voucher and a runner-up voucher for £50.

The rules for the competition are shown below.

Entries close on 10th September, 2026. The winners will be announced in late September.

The subject matter of this competition is ‘Golf Photography’ by local amateur photographers from the golf clubs of Cheshire. This includes club members and staff. Cheshire Golf directors and committee members are ineligible.

Images will be judged by Composition, Originality, General Appeal.

Up to 3 images may be submitted per photographer in ‘J -Peg’ format, individual file size limit is 8Mb

Images that show person/s under the age of 18 are not permitted

The photographer retains the copyright to the image but by entering the competition you grant Cheshire Golf the right to publish and exhibit your photographs (image credits will be published).

Entries will not be accepted unless submitted via the official channel (email to photo@cheshiregolf.org.uk). If entering more than one image these can be submitted separately if required

Each entry must be accompanied by details of:
-Photographer name and contact details
-Golf club name and position in club eg member, greenkeeper, captain etc

Entrants must not be professional photographers or make monies from selling images.

Minor image enhancement / editing is permitted but if we consider it to be excessive then the image/s will be excluded.
Composite images will not be accepted, and Cheshire Golf will not accept use of AI generated content / images.

All images must be the photographer’s own original work / taken by them. No third party may own, or control content and the image must not infringe upon the trademark, copyright, intellectual rights, or rights to privacy of individuals or companies
