Our 2024 squad, have been putting into practise the skills developed during the winter coaching sessions, particularly the putting and short game sessions. 

Wallasey was the very last U14s game of the season, a season which has seen some super handicap reductions and enjoyed by everyone connected with the U14s squad.  Those of you young enough will continue being a part of the U14s, while those too old will the eligible for the U16s for 2025.  Special mention of Jasper Hughes. Jasper has been with us for 4 years, one of our longest serving players, who first played at Davenport GC, he leaves for the U16s with a very handy 2.5 handicap. We wish you well in times ahead “Jasp”  & we’ll miss your BIG smile & curly mop too…

Every one of deserves a medal today (and some parents, too). Atrocious conditions doesn’t describe near-enough how tough it was out there, well done ALL of you, Wallasey & U14s players…

The match resulted in a very close win 5.5 to 4.5 for the U14s. The 3 young girls for Wallasey, Sophie, Yasmine & Isabella, each managed to win their game, well done girls.  The teams played one of the best courses in the country in awful conditions, there will be better times.  Wallasey Golf Club are a super supporter of junior golfers & the CUGC in general

Dave Robinson, Wallasey’s Junior Organiser does a super job there, along with the club are thanked for their hospitality today. 

There are a series of matches against the junior sections of Cheshire clubs, we expect our squad to enter all 3 of CUGC’s junior comps, where they are eligible.  

We encourage the boys to enter the Junior Opens held at clubs across the county, including Wilmslow, Wallasey, Sandiway & Delamere Forest. This is an ideal way of measuring  yourselves against other junior golfers and play outstanding courses.  

Along with my colleagues, Jim McBride, Stuart Laing and Mike Jones and our pros, Mark Johnson and Matt Turnock, everyone is assured of a warm welcome and being a vital team member.
