Bel with her official invite

Bel gets dream invitation to visit Augusta the home of the Masters is a dream trip for thousands of golfers and to play at the Augusta National course has only been enjoyed by a relative few over many years.

Now Prestbury, Cheshire and England’s young star Bel Wardle is delighted to receive a very special invitation to play in the August National Women’s Amateur competition which is staged at the venue prior to this year’s Masters where Tiger Woods will be defending his title.

Bel said: “I was really excited to receive the invitation, I knew I had a chance of playing the event having improved my world ranking last year.

“You have to get invited to play in the event and this is based on world rankings and event winners.

“There is a field of 72 where the Top 30 make the cut after two rounds.

“The first two rounds are played at Champions Retreat GC and the final round is played at Augusta National Golf Club and the dates are April 1-4.

“To add to the excitement my parents and my sister are coming out to watch and support me.

“Obviously I’d like to thank my home team of Richard Green (Bramhall GC), Drew Roberts (Neon PT), Mark Pilling ( Prestbury GC) and Physiofit as all the work we do together made this opportunity of what may be a once-in-lifetime opportunity possible.”
