On the 7th June our Senior team set off to play their first match in the defence of the Richardson Trophy against Cumbria at Appleby Golf Club . The sun shone but the wind made playing conditions very tricky on an already challenging course on which local knowledge was a definite advantage . Our team battled hard and whilst several matches went to the 18th hole a 5.5/1.5 win for Cheshire was recorded . Our next match will be against Northumberland at Prestbury .Â

Our Mixed Age team travelled to Brailsford Golf Course to take on Derbyshire’s Mixed Age team. Brailsford is an unusual course in that there are just 12 holes, and after that the players play 1,2,3,6,11 and 18 again as the remaining 6 holes. Our boys coped well with this layout
