East Cheshire Ladies League

East Cheshire Ladies League

Following on from the Business Ladies Final on the Sunday contested between Hazel Grove and Marple, already reported, the other three finals on Monday 13 September, enjoyed a pristine course, superb organisation by the East Cheshire officials, and staff at Wilmslow excelled with their usual excellent hospitality. The winners of each section will now play the winners of their counterparts in West Cheshire to become the county champions

The winners of the A team final were Astbury who beat Bramhall, and Alsager prevented a double by Astbury as they won the B team Shield.

The final Plate competition went to the drama of a final match win for Tytherington against Ringway and the game included a superb hole in one on the par three 9th hole by Bernie Bottman of Ringway for her first ace – which was celebrated in the clubhouse afterwards with a glass of bubbly each. Well done Bernie

Congratulations to all the winners of both the West and East Cheshire Shields. The finals between East and West Shield Winners takes place at Romiley on Sunday 19 September for the Business Ladies, and the A, B and Plate Teams the following day, also at Romiley.
