New career step for Amy

Amy has also been the junior Captain at Ringway Golf Club in 2021 as well as at Didsbury Golf Club when she was just 12 years old.

She has joined the staff of Chorton’s respected professional Dave Mackinnon with the aim of getting PGA qualification.

Amy, current handicap 5.6 and a playing member at Ashton-on-Mersey GC, said: “My golf has been very up and down through the years, but the past few years I have really focused and achieved many things with my ability. I’m hoping to get my PGA badge in the next few years.

“Among the people I would like to thank for my development in golf are my mum and dad for the constant support and Isobel Parry from Ringway for the time and effort she puts into the juniors there

“My role at Chorlton will be in pro shop and it will help my development because Dave will teach me things and give me the experience I need.

“I have been welcomed so well into Chorlton and everybody has made me feel at home. It has really helped me settle down.

“ My aims in golf are that I become a PGA coach and work with juniors and help them and be a part of their journey succeeding in golf.”
