Run for Charity

Run for Charity

One lady at Lymm Golf Club, JULIE HUGHES, has not let the lockdown stop her from supporting her Lady Captain, Lottie Makin, raise money for her charity, St Rocco’s.

Julie has been keeping fit while the course was closed, and no golf could be played. Julie made up for lost time on the golf course by plotting her 10km run around Lymm Golf Club, early on Wednesday 27th May. Lady Captain was on hand to take some memorable photographs and record a super time of 59 minutes and 30 seconds.

With the generous support of friends, family and Lymm Golf Club members, Julie has raised £2035 for St Rocco’s. Julie explained that by using a “Just Giving” page the money raised went straight to St Rocco’s. Under the restrictions imposed by the Covid 19 lockdown many charities were suffering from loss of income, so this donation will go some way towards helping a much – loved local cause.
