Reddish is President’s first function

It has been a tradition for many years that the newly appointed Cheshire President has his first official function at the Reddish Vale Golf Clubs Annual Gentlemen’s Dinner.

Just three days after taking on his new role John Heggarty (Royal Liverpool GC) travelled across Cheshire to be the main guest at the RVGC Gentleman’s Dinner.

The other main guest was Steve Misell (Disley GC) the Captain of the Manchester and District Past Captains.

One of the main organisers Vale legend David Sanders said: “All four speeches from John, Steve, Colin Farrow (RV Captain elect) and David Ibberson (RV Captain) were well researched and received enthusiastically by a full house of members and guests, and the food and service were first class and enjoyed by all.”

John added: “It was a great start to my year as the Cheshire President and the only thing I can say Only is a thank you to all the members of Reddish Vale Golf Club for their warm welcome and a very enjoyable evening.”
