AINTREE DAY another big hit for Heaton Moor

The ladies at Heaton Moor Golf Club have put on a great show at their annual Aintree Day since 2014 and there was a great turn-out-dressed to kill- at their 11th Aintree Day.

The ladies enjoyed posing in their glamorous outfits and hats and watching the races on a big screen in the clubhouse and see their money handled with great skill by the ‘bookies’ Captain John Howarth and Alan Butterfield as they were able to follow the horses they had drawn race live and enjoy some excellent refreshments.

Captain John Howarth said: “It has been a very popular event at our club for many years and Alan and his wife Jeanette have run the event since it started and we all owe a tremendous thank-you to them both.

“One of the aims of the event is to raise funds to be used for some redevelopment of the of the clubhouse and we were delighted to raise £250 on the day as well as providing an excellent social day enjoyed by all.”
