Cheshire U14’s squad prepare for new season

Cheshire Boys U14’s face another busy and exciting season in 2026 and they the squad had a good meet-up and an 11-hole competition in difficult conditions at Caldy Golf Club.

U14 manager Graham McCormack said: “Congratulations to ALL of you that played today, playing 11 holes in those conditions was not going to be easy. “However, one of you, Harry Grey (Wallasey), beat the course today with 23pts, well done. More good scores were posted by Henry Quinn (Disley) with 22pts and Edward Graham (Wallasey) with 21pts. “I‘m delighted to see that you are getting to know each other, sitting together & chatting, that is an important part of ‘TEAM BONDING’ very hard to achieve when you play individually.

The other members of the squad who braved Caldy were Finley Baker (Helsby) Euan Courtney (Avro) Luke Doran (Sandiway) Charlie Thompson (Styal), Alex Le (Ringway) Cormac Narey (Crewe) Cruz Norton (Northenden) and James Harrison (Astbury).

The squad will get together again for 1-2-1 coaching session at The Beeches, nr Knutsford, on Sunday 1st February. Their 1st match will be at Sandiway GC in early April.
