Cheshire too hot for Red Rose to handle

On 22 June Romiley GC provided an excellent venue and were great hosts for Cheshire Boys U16s who took on old rivals Lancashire. The morning foursomes put Cheshire on the front foot as they took a 2.5-1.5 lead. Picking up points for Cheshire were the dynamic duos of James Clark and Jasper Hughes 1 Up, Jonah Ashworth and Bobbie Moore 4/3 and a half for Will Furness and Jack Walker.

Cheshire kept up their momentum in the afternoon singles session and extended their lead with points from Josh Hockenhull 1 Up and Harvey Taylor a half. Cheshire upped their momentum and stormed home to an impressive overall win of 8-4 to the delight of team manager Ian Self, coach Peter Barber, Cheshire Officials, family and supporters.
