Sophie Shines in North of England Championships

The 12-year-old has enjoyed a great couple of weeks after coming second in the Wallasey Junior Championships with a 78 gross.

This was followed by winning the Delyth Tuffnell Salver at Wallasey with a gross 77 and the Bromborough Junior Club Championships with a gross 72 (two under par) – her first time under par followed by her success in the North of England Championships.

This has dropped her handicap from 7.3 to 3.5 in 11 days and she is now off to St Andrews to play in the u23 ladies tournament.
