Boy’s Mixed Age team victorious against North Wales

Comfortable win for Mixed Age team

Cheshire Boys Mixed Age team enjoyed their match against North Wales at the excellent venue of Upton-by-Cheshire GC.

It was close in the morning foursomes with Cheshire edging a 3.5-2.5 winning margin.

There were wins for Luke Parkinson (Reddish Vale) and Joseph Dodd-Berry (Royal Liverpool) two up, James Clark (Sandiway) and Jasper Hughes (Wilmslow) two up and Joshua Hockenhull (Mottram Hall) and Will Furness (Ringway) 5/3 plus a half for Cole Parkinson (Reddish Vale) and Dan Barlow (Ringway).

North Wales took the lead as they won the first two afternoon singles matches but then Cheshire took over as North Wales only had one more win.

Racking up the points for Cheshire were Luke Parkinson 4/2, Cole Parkinson two up, Callum Woolley (Crewe) one up, Max Brett (Heswall) 9/7, Dylan Emms (Bramall Park) two up, Joshua Hockenhull 2/1, James Clark 6/5 and Jasper Hughes 4/3.

Completing the Cheshire points tally with a half was Ellis Courtnell.

Team manager Andrew Henshall (Wilmslow) said: “A lot of games went to the 18th in morning foursomes but not as many in the afternoon.

“Everyone picked up points for the team in either the morning or afternoon, so a good feeling for them all.“
