Women on Par at Tytherington

Golf Clubs across Cheshire and England are working hard to get ladies and girls into golf and retaining their membership.

Tytherington Golf Club was delighted to host a master class of golf for their lady members and other prospective members led by Ladies European Tour star Cara Gainer.

Cara was joined by CNN host The Jazzy Golfer on the day which began on the course with Cara hosting a clinic for those in attendance, followed by nine holes of golf and lunch and a Q and A in the glorious summer sunshine over the pristine golf course which has seen major investment over the past couple of years.

Cara, off the back of her maiden Tour victory this season and third in the Order of Merit on the LET is in partnership with The Club Company, the UK’s leading operator of country clubs who include both Tytherington and High Legh Golf Clubs in Cheshire who both share the goal of growing the women’s game of golf.

Event organiser Mark Pratt said: “There was a fantastic feed-back.

“I spoke to the ladies and one of them said that she’d have paid double for the day and another said that it was an absolute joy to take part in and she could not wait to put the tips to practice out on the course.“The next Women on Par event is at High Legh GC on July 13 and anyone interested in attending should contact Dominic Fernandez at High Legh.”
