Great day for Cheshire Girls at Reddish Vale

Cheshire Girls and their chosen golfing partners enjoyed a terrific competition for the Wheatsheaf Trophies at Reddish Vale Golf Club.

The Mackenzie course is one of the most spectacular in Cheshire and a regular host to county events and Reddish Vale put on a great show both on and off the course.

Cheshire Girls organiser Cathy Day said: “We have set new guidelines for entry, and the girls can now choose their own partners for the Greensome Stableford and we upped the entry to 14 pairs and I think it could be more next year once word gets round of how good this year’s event was”

“The winners on the day were Crewe Golf Club’s Morgan Bollan and Esme Trenbirth 37 from Yasmine Chambers and Isabella Donnelly (Wallasey GC) who won a cpo on 35 from Jessica Flynn (Bramall Park) and Cruz Norton (Northenden).

“On and off the course I would like to offer my thanks to the players, Reddish Vale GC and County officials. Reddish Vale GC for presenting the course in great condition despite the current very dry weather. It’s the first time many of the players had played the course and they all found it to be a tough but good challenge.

“Also Cath Wilkinson for acting as our starter on the day and Cheshire Girls Captain Eryn Gravett (Astbury GC) who did a great job as Junior County Captain for giving our vote of thanks to all who deserved it and for presenting the prizes.

“Lastly of course all the players and their parents for their continued support of our County Girls events.
