Mixed Age Boys lose narrowly to Lancashire

Cheshire Boys have enjoyed a great season in their matches with Lancashire having beaten them at u18, u16 and u14 levels.

But in the match at Worsley GC in the Mixed Age group (u16, 15 and 14) Lancashire got their revenge in a very close contest with four matches going to the 18th green.

Lancashire set their stall out in the morning foursomes to take a 4-2 lead with the Cheshire points secured by Jack Barnes and Jasper Hughes 5&3 and Noah Alexander and Jack Walker also 5&3.

The lead was held as the spoils were shared at 6-6 in the afternoon singles with wins for Jonah Ashworth 5/3, Jack Barnes 2/1, Jasper Hughes one up and Will Furness 3/2.

Halving their games were Jack Walker and Harvey Taylor but it was not enough to prevent a Lancashire win by 10-8 in an excellent match.
