Huge Charity Fundraiser at Reddish

Reddish Vale Golf Club staged a superb charity day to raise funds for The Christie Hospital.
This was initiated by Yvonne Brown, the wife of a RVGC member following the help and treatment she had received at The Christie.
The turn out for the event exceeded al expectations as did the funds raised.
Sadly, Yvonne passed away shortly before the event and was unable to witness the result of her brainchild.

Yvonne Brown

The mantle was taken up by the Brown family, her friends and RVGC manager Alan Booth and their commitment and efforts resulted in a donation to The Christie in excess of over £14,000.
lan stated: “ The effort of all concerned, including the bar and catering staff at the club was a great tribute to a brave and popular lady and he also thanked all who had donated items for the raffle and auction. The Vale course was in terrific condition and the weather superb which all contributed to a terrific day.
