Super-Seniors Autumn Gathering at Wilmslow

Cheshire’s Super-Senior men are our over 65s who play friendly fixtures against counties in the north each year. Eight squad players appreciated a Wilmslow course in superb condition for an end-of-season meet up, noteworthy after the rain and high winds of the previous week. Originally a dozen players signed up but various unforeseen circumstances interfered, leaving eight. 

Chris Mitchelson was absent on team manager duties for Cheshire in the English Senior County Finals at Harrogate GC. Good luck to the team there.

We played a fourball better ball, gross Stableford

Winners were Paul Dalby and Richard Mallard with 38 points, pipping Ian Gemmell and Dave Young by one point.

Ken Craven partnered Roy Smethurst and Joe Kirwan was with Nigel Oakes.

Paul Dalby, as host, organized the day superbly.
