Wonderful Wallasey are fantastic hosts

The biggest smile came from Alison Grant (Royal Liverpool GC) who won the Salver with the best nett score of 75, one clear of Julie Schofield (Bromborough), Jacke Broderick(Bramall Park), Ellen Cail and Carole Ryder (both Prestbury).

Alison also had the best gross of 85 but as she cannot win both top prizes Carole Ryder won that with 86, just one clear of fellow Cheshire Seniors star Caroline Berry (Bromborough).

Cheshire President Pam Draper (Chorlton GC) gave well deserved thanks to all at Wallasey for their efforts in making this a special day for the players and officials.

She said: “Despite the strong wind it was lovely to play at Wallasey today.

“Coming from our side of Cheshire it was a delight to play on non muddy fairways with run on the ball which were excellently kept.

“Thanks to all the green keeping staff at Wallasey Golf Club for having the course in such amazing condition.”
