Dreadful vandalism at Werneth Low

Werneth course hit again by vandals.

Many sports grounds in the area are a regular victims to vandaIs doing great damage to them.
Werneth Low Golf Club, one of the most scenic, friendly and attractive courses in Cheshire, have unfortunately been victims many times in recent years and have suffered again in recent weeks.
Ben Thompson the Low head professional, manager and former junior star said: “We have been vandalised again causing thousands of pounds in damages on our greens from electric bikes and it’s once again in the school holidays.
“We are beyond despair trying to catch these cretins and the police will do nothing about it unless we have CCTV footage, which unfortunately is not possible and is sad to think we actually need it for a golf course.
“The local police, council, mayor, councillor and trusts are all involved and helping and we want to spread the word far and wide to try and prevent this happening.
“The club cannot afford for this to keep happening, just as we were starting to get back on our feet after being close to closure in April this year.”
