Tremendous win for girls against Shropshire

Cheshire’s girls team have an annual match against Shropshire with a format of aggregate singles stableford scoring. In the few years this has been run our girls have been unable to win. But that run ended on Sunday 8th June when our team of 8 girls travelled to Oswestry GC and prevailed over their Shropshire counterparts by 228 points to 223.

Team manager Cathy Day said: “This was a really positive result for our girls and a fine team performance. To finally get our name on the trophy is very satisfying”.
