Life Members enjoy their day at High Legh

The latest Cheshire Life Members saw 142 players enjoy excellent weather at The Club at High Legh Park. The course was in excellent condition and running fast after the long dry summer..

The early pace was set by Joe Fildes and Ray Parry (Eastham Lodge GC) as they set a stiff target of 47 points.

Several pairs came near to catching them and just missing out with 46 were Cliff Bagnall (Alsager GC) and Marc Williams (Hartford GC) who won a cpo from Dave Stenton and Ian Hulson (Alsager) with the prize list being completed by Prestbury’s dynamic duo of Richard Atkinson and John W Kennerley who won a cpo on 45 from several other pairs.

Nearest-the-pin on the 9th hole was won by Alsager’s Kevin Gloyne. He hit the pin with this tee shot and also recorded a 2, to add to the other two 2s he put onto the card.

The penultimate fixture for the Lifers is at Upton-by-Chester on 1st September
