Bare Necessities at Wilmslow

Wilmslow Golf Club again provided great support on and off the course as they hosted the fourth Golf Day for the Bare Necessities Charity which provides toiletries for people in need.
There were just under 90 players, playing in teams of four, who gave great support on the day before, during and after golf.
The Charity organiser Wendy Hobson said: “We were blessed by good weather at a top class venue and on the day looked to have raised in the region of £14k.
“I would like to thank Anwyl Homes for their continuing sponsorship, the players, the Wilmslow Golf Club especially Karen and Simon, all of our BN volunteers, all of our donors for their prizes and the auction and the bidders.
“The top team were Anwyl Lancs led by Shaun Sumner with 51 nett ahead of Fore Swingers, led by Andy Wright with the only two ladies in the field, 53 and No Iffs No Putts led by George Hobson 54.
“It was also good to see the CUGC team of Andrew Henshall, David Durling, Cleve McCurdy and Jonathan Kell putting on a good show.
“One of the stars of the show was Man United football legend Wes Brown.”
