Birchwood Ladies Charity Challenge

Felicity Ford ,one of the runners up,

with Lady Captain Kath Mackie

In October the Ladies of Birchwood Golf Club set in motion the 25ft Putt Challenge in aid of Breast Cancer UK.  Carl Edwards the Professional ran the event on the practice green.  Three of our ladies (Felicity Ford, Jill Stamper and Fran Blunn) made the final, along with club member Ian McDonald.  In the final play off each player was allowed 5 putts, and the person who sank the most putts was the winner.  Well done to Ian who sank 4 out of the 5 putts and was the overall winner.  Ian received a £25 Pro Shop voucher which was sponsored by lady member Denise Earlam and Lady Captain Kath Mackie.  A cheque for £220 was sent to Breast Cancer UK.
