Team manager Andrew Henshall said:
“21 boys from the Under 18s, 17s and 16s came along to see Peter Barber and Olly Whiteley at Caldy Golf Club on Sunday 18th October.
“The day started with an introduction to Olly who has helped in the past and is now going to be doing the Under 18s and Men’s coaching with Peter Barber.
“The boys then went out on the short game course and tried various skills tests before going out and playing match-play golf over 13 holes.
“Caldy were magnificent hosts and the course and practice areas were all in impeccable condition.
“A treat for all the lads to play there whilst the junior team from Caldy were off winning the North West Champions League finals at West Lancs GC over the Mersey in Lancashire.
“It was a good start to the year’s coaching with lots more sessions to come before we start playing competitive junior golf next April.
“The remainder of the squads are coming back to Caldy with the new Under 16s and Under 17s coaches on 1st November.”
