It also hosts its Introduction day each year at Knutsford GC.
During the season the Association has a busy programme of matches against other Golf Captains Associations from around the country and its own competitions.
The Captains Day competition is a top one and this year Captain Keith Walmsley (Hindley Hall) was delighted to be hosted in impeccable style by Ringway Golf Club.
Keith said: “Ringway were magnificent hosts with green staff and catering and bar team looking after us well and making this a memorable day.
“We had great support from Reddish Vale GC who fielded eight players including 95-yearold Andy Hart who walked the course, with all buggies booked, - a great role model for all us senior golfers!
“Great help in the organisation on the day to Ian Brooks, Steve McDermott and Mike Rhodes- without guys like them these days would not happen and as I was not allowed to play I was delighted to see the 48 players off from the first tee and welcome them back at the 18th on completion of their round.
“The day was a success with an excellently presented course and greens . Everyone enjoyed the day with brilliant weather The food and service received from the Ringway GC staff was enjoyed by all of the 52 attendees.”
