A report from team Captain Neil Waite:

We played our 2nd match of the season at a green and rather lush and slightly damp Grange of Sands GC against Cumbria. It was slightly surreal to not be getting 100+ yards of run.

Grange over Sands GC was designed by Alister Mackenzie in 1919 and made for an interesting challenge with numerous doglegs and some very small greens.

After an opening win against Lancashire I am sad to report that Cumbria won the match by 3 games to 2. To use cricketing parlance, the tail "wagged" after a top order collapse.
