The Cheshire Boys team secured a great win at Chorley against Lancashire 8 - 7. After trailing in the morning Foursomes 3 -2 they came through 6 -4 in the Singles. The team has now won it's opening

Cheshire boys keep their nerve in thriller at Chorley

It was ding dong all the way at Chorley GC as Cheshire Boys took on old rivals Lancashire in their latest Northern League match with 10 of the fifteen matches going to the 18th green.
Lancashire edged the morning foursomes 3-2 with the vital Cheshire points secured by Ben Buchanan (Crewe) and Oscar Craig (Sandiway) by 4/3.
Backing them with halves were Max Iverson (Malkins Bank) and Oli Johnson (Delamere Forest) and Laurent Beech (Eaton) and Aaron Cullen (Royal Liverpool).
Cheshire got off to a flier in the afternoon singles with a 5/3 win for Captain Dan Hayes (Bramhall) supported by Oscar Craig two up and Cole Parkinson (Reddish Vale) 3/2
Halves from Oli Johnson, Max Iverson and Ben Buchanan gave Cheshire the lead but it was far from over as Lancashire pulled off two wins followed by a hlf against Laurent Beech.
It was all eyes on the final match between Nathan Hopley (Bramall Park) and Alex Wigley (Bolton).
Nathan kept his nerve to win 2/1 to see Cheshire across the line by 8-7.
