Boys win in Derbyshire

CHESHIRE Boys Mixed Age team featuring players from the U18, U16 and Under 14 teams enjoyed their trip to the scenic Ashbourne GC to take on their Derbyshire counterparts.

CHESHIRE Boys Mixed Age team featuring players from the U18, U16 and Under 14 teams enjoyed their trip to the scenic Ashbourne GC to take on their Derbyshire counterparts.
It was close in the morning foursomes with wins for Luke Parkinson and Nathan Hopley 2/1, Aaron Cullen and Shinil Balakrishnan 2/1 and Leonardo and Harry Payne one up backed by a half from Lawson Yates and Will Bebbington gave them a crucial and morale boosting 3.5-2.5 lead going into the afternoon singles.
A confident team then turned on the style with wins from Jack Bent 8/7, Luke Parkinson one up, Aaron Cullen 4/3 Shinil Balakrishnan 3/2, Lawson Yates 6/5, Will Bebbington 4/3, Jasper Hughes 3/1 and Leonardo Hirons 6/4 with Louis Rickett halving his match for a terrific 8.5/3.5 score to complete an emphatic 12/6 win highlighting the depth of junior talent in Cheshire.
