East Cheshire Shield Finals

The teams reaching finals day had played for several months in leagues and knock out matches to qualify for this stage with the winners going on to play the West Cheshire League winners for the county title.

The first day featured the Business Ladies Final and Hazel Grove went through beating Hale and they will play Sandiway in the County final.

Next day there were three matches and the A team winners were Davenport who edged a thriller on the last match on the 19th hole against Sale to play Vale Royal Abbey in the final.

The B team match was even closer going to the 20th hole in the deciding match with Tytherington prevailing over Alderley Edge to set up the final against Sandiway.

The final match for the Plate was a tense local derby between Congleton and Astbury with Congleton going through 4-3 and they will meet mighty Royal Liverpool in their final.

A Team  9.30 am                               Davenport v Vale Royal Abbey

B Team  10.20 am                             Tytherington v Sandiway

Plate Team 11.30 am                      Congleton v Royal Liverpool
