Final Results

Wallasey Ladies beat The Wilmslow Ladies in the final of the Elisabeth Wilson Scratch Knockout at Bramall Park Golf Club.

The 2 teams played in perfect conditions, both the weather and the golf course could not be faulted

The competition which was introduced to Cheshire Ladies Golf by Elisabeth Wilson in 1991 has proven to be very popular event. Wallasey only entered the competition for the first time last year and got through to the final but lost to Sandiway. This year they came determined to improve the result and won 4/1

All games are played off scratch, and the atmosphere was competitive but friendly and all matches were played in an excellent spirit.

Matches are played on neutral courses for the semi-finals and final and thanks must go to Hale and Wilmslow for the semi-final venues and Bramall Park for the final where excellent hospitality was given.

Lis came to watch and presented the trophy to the winning team.  Stewart Neil, County President in 2027, acted as the starter.
