Cheshire life Members
The Cheshire Life Membership scheme began back in 1965 as a way of encouraging club members to get involved in county events, to promote interaction between clubs and to publicise the county’s work. Today we have around 900 Life Members who are eligible to play in the seven competitions we run each year at clubs across the county. These highly popular competitions are played in pairs betterball format and typically attract fields of between 150 and 180 players.Â
To be eligible for Life Membership you must be playing member of an affiliated club with a current and valid WHS handicap.Â

The fee for Life Membership is just £25. This is a once only payment, there is no ongoing annual fee.

2025 Competition entries
To enter for the 2025 competition you need to:
- Download, print and fill in the entry form, then send it to Jerry Dixon. The link to this form is below. NOTE: if you are entering multiple pairs, please ignore the entry form and send a Word or Excel file with the player names, pairing and CDHs plus desired start times
- Once you have done the entry form, you need to pay. This year we are making the process simpler for both Life Members and ourselves. There will be only one payment method, which is a secure online shop. Please go to this page and follow the instructions to make payment by card.
- Please note that should anyone subsequently request a refund for withdrawing from a competition more than 14 days in advance, the refund will be made via the card used to make this initial payment
