Mens County Colours

Men's County Colours

County Colours are awarded to those players who have demonstrated a commitment to the county team over a number of years. More importantly it recognises their ability to win matches against the elite golfers from the other counties across the North of England.

The formula used to determine the players eligible to receive County Colours are:

  1. At least ten appearances for the County
  2. A total of at least 16 points with a minimum of six points in singles matches.2 points for a single win
  3. 1 point for a singles half
  4. 1 point for a foursomes win
  5. ½ points for a foursomes half

Points will be awarded for Northern League Matches only. Players playing in the Northern League Qualifying Round (Big 6) will be awarded 2 points.

All other County Matches will count towards a Players appearance total only.
