Cheshire Order of Merit
The Men’s Order of Merit is based on a combination of Cheshire County Championships and Northern Order of Merit Opens held within Cheshire.
The Cheshire County Strokeplay and Matchplay Championships attract a higher point waiting compared to the Opens. The Cheshire County Foursomes Championship will be included as an Open.
The current Northern Order of Merit Opens which will be included are:

- Delamere Horn
- Caldy Quart
- Wallasey - Frank Stableford
- Bromborough Bowl
- Prestbury Open
- Wilmslow Crow
- Stockport Salver
- Eaton Talbot
- Mere Trophy
- Warrington - Hill Warren Trophy
The Order of Merit is calculated on the current playing year with a cut-off of 20 September.
The winner will receive his award at the Cheshire Golf Annual Dinner.

2026 Season
Our 2024 winner, Sam Prince, has made a great start to recaturing the title in 2026. Having won a third Matchplay Championship at Prenton, Sam follwowed this up by taking the coverted Frank Stableford Trophy at Wallasey to establish an early 70 point lead. Paul McFerran also had a good day at Wallasey and is in 2nd place. After taking the Delamere Horn title, Will Bebbington is in 3rd place.
June sees the 100th County Championship at Delamere Forest and with 150 points awarded to the Champion it will play a vital role in deciding our 2026 winner.
