Success in Lancashire for Dan

Dan Hayes, the highly talented 17-year-old Bramall GC member, followed up an excellent 8th place finish in the recent Lytham Trophy with two wins at the weekend.

On Sunday 19th May he shot rounds of 73 and 72 to come tied third in the Formby Hare. On the following day he won the prestigious Southport and Ainsdale Bowl with scores of 69 and 69 for a six-under par total. His combined score for the two events ensured that he won the Lancashire Links Trophy, which is a 72-hole World Amateur Golf Ranking event.

Dan, who is a member of the England Boys team, now has a handicap of +4.7 and is looking forward to a hectic schedule of championships and matches this summer.
