Entry process for The Cheshire Unity Trophy 2026

Following the Unification of the Cheshire Union of Golf Clubs and the Cheshire County Ladies Golf Association in September 2024, there was a desire to recognise the creation of Cheshire Golf Limited in an appropriate way.  Therefore we have established this competition to involve ladies and gentlemen in a foursomes knockout mixed team environment, a format that is completely new to Cheshire Golf.

Although it is new to Cheshire, a similar competition has been run successfully by the Manchester District Golf Association (MDGA) for many years and we have followed their experience in compiling the accompanying (a) Rules and (b) Guidance Notes for Organisers.  We hope that you will find this new competition a challenging innovation to Cheshire Golf and will consider supporting it in 2026 – for this reason, we are setting an entry fee of only £50 per team for the whole tournament.

It would be quite an accolade for your club to be the first holders of The Cheshire Unity Trophy so initially, by the end of March, if you can confirm to the Cheshire Tournament Manager, Graham Sayers at grsayers@sky.com that you wish to enter a team with details of your Club, the Organiser and contact information, we will get back to you with entry instructions and further information.

Below are the details regarding entry to this competition for 2026.

Team Organisers, please let Graham know of any interesting stories from your match. The odd ‘hole on one’ or that ‘chip in on the 18th’ are stories we’d love to share.
