Marple link up with McCarthy Stone and Cheshire Life Members

Simon delighted with sponsorship deal at Marple

Cheshire Life Members at Marple in September

Marple Golf Club’s marketing director Simon McBride is delighted with a sponsorship deal the club has secured for the next three years with McCarthy Stone a leading local retirement property developer.

Simon said: “The funds provided will be used to help promote all sections of our 132-year-old club but in particular to aid the junior section which has begun to thrive in recent months with a number of talented future golfers beginning to come through the ranks.

“Marple Golf Club has been a prominent part of the local community for well over a century so it’s great to have the support of McCarthy Stone.

“Sport and golf are brilliant ways to bring together people of all ages and thanks to the sponsorship deal we can continue to provide the best member and visitor experience while ensuring that the club’s legacy will live on for many years to come.”

Fiona Brooks, the divisional marketing director for McCarthy Stone, added: “The well being and happiness of older people is at the heart of everything we do which is why we are delighted to be partnering with Marple Golf Club, who also recognise the positive impact that sports and hobbies have on people’s wellbeing especially as we age.

“Golf is a fantastic way to stay active and reduce stress as well as meeting new people and foster a sense of belonging.

With Marple GC being within easy reach of Queens View in Bramhall we expect that we will have a few home owners who will be making the most of the fantastic golf and clubhouse facilities.”

The sponsorship will see the team at Queens View host a ‘Swing Into Summer’ event in August where homeowners, club members and local retirees will have the chance to flex their crazy golf skills.

Simon will also be present to offer some pointers to golf fans on how to improve their aim.

Following on from Swing into Suymmer, Marple will host the Cheshire Life Members on Monday 2 September. With over 160 players already signed up it promises to be another great day at Marple Golf Club.
