Junior & Seniors Golfers ‘Ace’ at local clubs

Holes in one are very rare and greeted with great joy whenever they occur. Then to buck the trend there were four in less than a week in the Macclesfield area with Prestbury Golf Club having an unprecedented hat-trick of aces on just one day.

Two of them came on the tenth hole from David Greensmith and John Kennerley and David Rowley made it a hat-trick on the seventh.

There plenty of celebrations on the 19th hole to celebrate an amazing feat.

Not to be out done a Junior then matched what the Seniors achieved. A few days previously just up the road at Marton Meadows GC there was a really special one reported by their General Manager Chad Parker.

Summer with Jae Bowers

“A huge congratulations to 12 year old Marton Meadows member Summer Taylor Potts who hit a hole in one on the sixth hole. The 6th hole is 140 yards long but due to the flag being at the back of the green the hole was over 150 yards from the tee and Summer hit on point to drop straight in. Summer has golf lessons at Marton Meadows with the female PGA Professional Jae Bowers who is over the moon with Summer’s progress and says she’s showing great potential for the future.”
