Matt Dixon arrives at Astbury

Astbury Golf Club are frequent and excellent hosts for CUGC competitions and they are delighted to welcome Matthew Dixon (pictured) as their new Head PGA Golf Professional. Matthew, or Matt as he is known, brings to Astbury GC around twenty years of golfing experience both as a player and as a Golf Performance Coach.
Matt brings his years of experience to Astbury Golf Club’s excellent practice facilities. He is eager to welcome new players and to fine tune the swing of the experienced golfer. Bringing his experience to the club and introducing new exciting launch monitors, 3D software, video analysis and specialty putting lessons using the ‘Capto’ analysis tool – all of this with the aim of making his students better players.
Matt said: “I am very much focused on the individual and getting the best out of them so they can maximize their enjoyment of the game. “I teach everyone from children, through to Club and County Players as well as other Professionals.”
His aim is to turn the club shop into an Aladdin’s cave for golfers, with top brands, a repair facility and premium golf club demo days where members and guests can try out the latest equipment.
As a boy Matt learned his craft at Macclesfield, Shrigley Hall and Prestbury golf clubs. A keen footballer in his youth, and a supporter of Congleton Town. Matt also helps out as a junior football coach.
The Astbury Pro Shop is open to all and even if you are not a golfer pop in and see what Astbury Golf Club and their new Professional can offer. You will not be disappointed!
