Congratulations Cheshire Seniors

The final and deciding match took place at Pleasington GC V Lancashire . Only half a point separated the two teams . The weather was not kind and the players contended with wet and breezy conditions . Cheshire earned a half point which was enough to secure the trophy with 4.5/5  points . This year Lancashire were runners up with 4/5 points . 

Huge congratulations to Caroline Berry and Sara Spencer who have been selected to represent England . Caroline will play in the European Team championships in Slovenia and she along with Sara will represent England in Northern Ireland in the Senior Women’s Home Internationals in September.

Congratulations to Cath Rawthore who reached the final of the Northern Championship at Preston . Cath was runner up to Lucy Ashworth from Durham who birdied the 19th hole to win the match . Cath along with Caroline Berry , Barbara Jamieson , Sarah Naden and Sara Spencer have been selected to play for the Northern team in the seniors Jamboree at Trentham 6th-8th August. Well done ladies,  doing Cheshire proud
