Noosh Birch (pictured)has been a member of Wilmslow Golf Club for 42 years and she is looking forward to being Lady Captain for 2025.
Noosh said: “I feel that our ladies section at Wilmslow is one of the best in Cheshire, we have presentations every week after competitions which are always well attended with a great atmosphere.
“The Ladies committee work very hard to ensure inclusivity and to accommodate everyone.
“We run a six-month taster package which has been very successful in introducing golf to ladies.
“My own lowest handicap was 15, it is now 23 and am looking at playing two or three times a week in summer and maybe more!
“My favourite hole at Wilmslow is the 17th as it is challenging with a stunning view in the summer and I can play it quite well!
“My other favourite courses are Wallasey and Birkdale, Royal Liverpool and Formby Ladies.
“My hobbies, other than golf are volunteering for various charities and being forced to support Manchester City by my husband and son who are lifelong supporters.
“My chosen charity to support in my Lady Captain’s year is the British Heart Foundation and my own personal golfing highlight would be winning my first ’Major’ at Wilmslow.
“The players I would like to join me in a four-ball would be my son Matt, who has won the Cheshire Mens Handicap Match Play championship, who would keep me in line and Seve Ballesteros and Lee Westwood, who are my favourite golfers.”
