Hole in One for U14’s at Wallasey

A super day at Wallasey for the U14’s and a hole in one!

Fine weather, superb hospitality, a hole-in-one, a junior giving 33 shots and winning. Overall, the teams were tied 5-5.

A BIG thank-you to Ben (Keegan) Wallasey’s junior organiser & to the club, we were regally entertained.

The highlight of the day goes to James Harrison with his first ever hole-in-one. I’m sure it’s also the first one we’ve had in the many years of running the U14s. Ryan Young had a mountain to climb today, giving away 33 shots. He won 5/4, well done Ryan. Overall, we gave 121 shots, receiving none. The day was a great experience for both teams with the overall score a very acceptable draw, 5-5.

Many thanks to you parents for supporting the team today. As always, my thanks to my colleagues Mike Jones & Jim McBride & we were delighted that our deputy president, Stewart Neil came along to support the team throughout the day. Our president, Marjorie Griffiths was also in attendance, however, she was there to support the County ladies playing against a Liverpool University team.

The Wallasey Team

To host both matches today at Wallasey speaks volumes for the support the club gives so generously to Cheshire.

Thank you Wallasey golf club for fabulous day of golf.
