Bromborough win Taylor Made Final

Wilmslow Golf Club have hosted plenty of top county and national competitions this year and they again put on a great show for the TaylorMade Ladies County Team final.

As always a course in top condition and enjoyed by all backed by top class clubhouse hospitality and help when needed from staff and members making it a smooth day for the Cheshire officials and players.

The competition sees ladies teams of three players, who won their club qualifier being joined on the day by Cheshire stars and legends in a Two from Four Team Stableford

There were 18 clubs represented and in a close finish Bromborough’s team of Barbara Walsh, Sarah Nixon and Penny Evans with guest Evie Rice led in with 87 points.

Just a point behind were the home team of Pauline Clegg, Ewa Papis, Helen Isherwood and Guest Anya Clayton.

They were a point more than Macclesfield’s Jean Duncan, Alex Forbes, Sue Collins and guest Suzanne Cross.

Cheshire official Fiona Walton said: “Everyone spoke very positively about the competition, the condition of the course and the warm welcome they received from the club and all in all it was a very successful day.”
