Lymm too good for Under-14s

Cheshire Under-14s enjoyed their game against a Lymm Junior team reinforced by some top Cheshire Juniors who helped the home team to a 7.5-3.5 victory
Team manager Graham McCormack: “I’m pleased to say that the weather wasn’t anywhere near as bad as it was threatening, which enabled us to have a trouble-free and enjoyable round of golf.
“One side of the score sheet looks a bit blank, with Lymm winning 7.5 to 3.5 however…the U14s actually fielded 15 players today -some of them helping Lymm to achieve a balanced match.
“Overall I know that everyone enjoyed the day and the experience, which is what it’s all about.
“Many thanks to Dave x 2 at Lymm, who were super hosts, making us so welcome.
“Thanks also to parents, many of whom stayed throughout the day, and my colleagues Jim McBride and Mike Jones, who are so supportive of me.”
Picking up the points for Cheshire were Jack Barnes (Romiley) one up, James Woby (Alsager) two up and Toby Cooper (Ringway) 4/3 and a half for Austin O’Connor (Prestbury).
Giving Lymm a lift were Cheshire stars Harvey Taylor(Prestbury), Pierce Freeman (Delamere Forest), Tomas Balakrishnan (Wallasey) and Jamie Harwood (Sandiway) as well as home player Matt Griffiths.
