Matty Griffiths, 17, a member of the Cheshire Boys team squad, broke the Lymm course record on Sunday with a blistering 63.
A Lymm member, he was playing in the Mid-Cheshire Junior League and had a phenomenal front nine of 29 that included a run of birdie, birdie, eagle, birdie. He was back in 3-under 34, eagling the last to card a new record of 63.

The round has reduced his handicap to +1.7
Matty will be in the Cheshire team that, for the first time since 2000, competes in the England Golf Boys County Finals at the end of August. We hope he’s in the same form then!
