New Era at Tytherington

Tytherington Golf Club was set up nearly 40 years ago and was the home for the Ladies European Tour for several years, staging top tournaments, and enjoying plenty of team and individual successes.

It recently became part of The Club Company group joining 17 other courses.

They all have club Captains but Tytherington has never had one so this year they decided to follow suit and appoint their first-ever Captain, Lady Captain and President.

Taking up the positions were Captain Sean McLaughlin, Lady Captain Liz Stott who will be supported by Leigh Turner who will be the club President for the next two years.

They kicked off the new season in great style with the Captain’s Drive-in and the day was a huge success with over 100 supporters watching the Captains Drive off from the first tee.

The day also saw some wonderful fund-raising for ‘Just Drop In’ a local charity group which support young people in difficult circumstances.
