Two Cheshire players represent England

We have had numerous players represent England Golf in its 100 year history. But the England men’s team for the 2024 annual Home Internationals included two Cheshire players, which we believe has never happened before.

Matthew Dodd-Berry was joined in the team by Daniel Hayes who, following a superb season and his recent win in the Carris Trophy, was deservedly promoted from the Boys to the Men’s team.

Both players acquitted themselves very well and England finished second, having lost to Ireland in the deciding match. We are incredibly proud to have such strong representation in our national squads. Well done Dan and Matt!
